What boats can you rent?
Our rental fleet is divided into two categories: sailing yachts and motorboats. Both are ideal for a boating holiday with 2 to 6 people.
Sailing Yachts
By renting one of our modern sailing yachts, you will enjoy an active boating holiday. It’s literally ‘all hands on deck.’ Step aboard a sailing yacht like the Dehler or Beneteau and brave the Wadden Sea and/or the IJsselmeer. Or go for the smaller lakes like the Sneekermeer, Hegermeer, or explore beautiful nature reserves such as 'Alde Feanen.' And if you just want to motor for a day, that’s also possible.

Motorboats
Want to simply relax and motor around? Then choose one of our luxury motor yachts. Thanks to the low clearance height of our Sedan Linssen Grand Sturdy and Cabin Langenberg motorboats, you can explore most of the waterways in Friesland. The AC models offer plenty of space for the whole family.
Fully Equipped Boats
In both types of boats, you can enjoy overnight stays and wake up with a cup of coffee while gazing over the water. Our rental boats are equipped with fully fitted kitchens. Thanks to (hot air) heating, you can rent a boat throughout the entire boating season with us in Friesland. All ships have shore power cables to access 220 volts in harbors and moorings. All our ships also have toilets, and some sailing yachts and all motorboats have their own showers.

Renting a boat without a license
For our fleet, you don’t need to have a boating license. For your safety and ours, we do require boating experience. We ask you to provide us with your practical experience when making a reservation. Naturally, it’s very important that you know the rules on the water. Don’t sail faster than necessary, know the right-of-way rules, and understand the meanings of buoys, signals, and lighting. Knowledge of the elements of water, wind, and weather changes are undeniably connected to boating. Our ships are equipped with wind meters, depth gauges, and speedometers. The most important water maps (Friesland, IJsselmeer, Water Almanac I) are also on board. In all our ships, you’ll find a comprehensive onboard book with user information, useful details, and boating routes.
Experience and refresher course
Experience with motorboats or sailing yachts is required when renting a boat. Has it been a while since you last sailed? Have you been sailing for years and are now ready for a motorboat? Or would you like to start your holiday with more confidence? Then we can reserve a practical boating lesson with a certified instructor for you. On your day of arrival, you will go out on the boat you’ve rented and practice under the guidance of the instructor. Also, check out our boating tips.
Boating routes in Friesland
Since you’re already coming to our boat rental in Friesland, we’d like to share a few beautiful boating routes with you. And it really doesn’t matter where you are in our beautiful province; it’s stunning everywhere. Still, we don’t want to withhold the following routes:
Eleven Cities Boating Route
Starting from our harbor in Sneek, you can sail the world-famous Eleven Cities route. You can choose which direction to start, the Northern route via the Swette to Leeuwarden, towards the beautiful Dokkum, and then turning to the cozy Franeker and Harlingen. Or you can start the Southern route via IJlst, Sloten, Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, and Bolsward. Naturally, you choose how long your route will be and whether you visit all eleven cities during your holiday.
Aquaduct Route
The Aqueduct Route is 76 kilometers long and goes through the southwestern part of the Frisian lakes. This boating route passes through 5 aqueducts, so you don’t have to wait for bridges. This route is accessible year-round. You’ll sail via Sneek, the Brekken along the Geau Aqueduct at IJlst, the Jeltesloot Aqueduct at Hommerts, and the Le Aqueduct at Woudsend. It’s a fun route to sail with children, visiting the charming villages of Heeg and Woudsend.
Middelsee Route
The Middelsee Route has a maximum clearance height of 2.46 meters. This makes it only suitable for our motorboats Cabin Langenberg and our Linssen Grand Sturdy Sedan models. A beautiful route through many picturesque towns. A peaceful route if you want to avoid the busy waterways. You’ll pass towns like Sneek, Bolsward, Franeker, and Leeuwarden.
